When people in Belleville read about celebrity divorces, they often see pictures of people who are well-dressed, coifed and smiling as if they don't have a care in the world. With a perceived distance from the real world around them, these people seem to marry on a frequent basis and then if it doesn't work out, they take care of the legal requirements and move easily on with their lives. However, is that really what happens?
Musician, Gwen Stefani has recently launched a new album, which she says is a result of the tumult of emotions that overwhelmed her after her marriage ended. Though she declined to go into the details of why her marriage fell apart, she does say that she struggled in dealing with it, comparing it to "dying." Ms. Stefani stated that there was a great deal of dishonesty in her personal life, and so it was important for her to be honest with herself about what she was going through.
With no intent to create an album, the singer turned to her creative gift as a way to express what she was feeling. She credits the step as the choice that kept her from just collapsing and allowing herself to die on the inside. It is not the first time that Ms. Stefani has used music writing as a way to deal with heartbreak – she wrote songs about her feelings before when she performed with the group No Doubt.
Regardless of the financial situation, going through a divorce is not easy. It can even be more difficult when people have to make decisions regarding their children and division of property. Seeking counsel from an experienced attorney may help make the transition a little less stressful.
